Tell me about your The Beginning!

We first met before a university party at Monash. Mat was tagging along with a mutual friend who convinced him to come along to a party, and brought him around to Tess’ Hall of Residence before the party started and introduced us. Mat moved to Melbourne shortly after this party to live in a share house with some friends and we started seeing each other. That was 9 years ago!

When and where did you get engaged?

We were out for dinner and having a staycation in the city for our 8 year anniversary. Mat had organised a beautiful evening with cocktails at a fancy cocktail bar and an amazing dinner at Maha. We ate so much we had to roll back to our hotel across the city. When we arrived back there was a beautiful cheese board, bottle of champagne and flowers waiting for us. That is when Mat proposed with the stunning view of Melbourne after dark in the background.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Timeless/classic styling. Simple and understated. White/green/pink flowers and styling. Invites, signs and stationary are forrest green and white.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Seeing partner on the day, eating the food, dancing with all of my friends, the giant cheese wheel cake, finally wearing my dress after 7 months in the making and our ceremony story (prepared by Kahani!).
