Tell me about your The Beginning!
We met on a dating app (bumble), in 2018. At the time we lived on the same street in Brunswick and had never met. Our first date was lunch at a cafe called a Minor Place (that we’d both been going to regularly before meeting). After lunch we weren’t ready to end the date so we decided on seeing a movie. All that was showing that afternoon was The Incredibles 2. We still have a pin from the movie theater as a memento. From then on we spent every weekend together and a few months in an annoying housemate situation made us decide to move in together and we never looked back.
When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged in July 2023 in Bali with out first overseas trip together. After a day exploring Ubud, Calvin proposed at the resort near the pool, it was just the two of us.
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
We don’t really have a theme. Bridal party and decor colours are orange, navy and pink. Lots of green foliage. Lawn games for the reception with lots of fun dance music for the after party. Guest dress code is Cocktail
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Calvin – Saying our vows Mia – Entering the reception as a couple, there is a second outfit involved. Having a big dance party with our friends and family.
Top Tips!
Book dance classes early so you get more time to learn a routine. Don’t stress out about what other people think you should do, its your day!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos, Peter. We love them! It’s wonderful yo see them and revisit Mia and Calvin’s beautiful wedding. We had the best time and you captured it perfectly.
