So it was my first time out at Austin’s Wines and to be truthful I think the venue is a hidden gem to host a wedding! Immaculate views, great photo options, backup ceremony locations and great entertaining areas. Also what a couple to have out there, Peggy & Tyson were so down to earth and lovely! I had the best time capturing these two. Read on below for their list of vendors as well as a little bit about them plus the sneak peeks!

Tell me about your The Beginning!
Bumble – like all good modern love stories! Our first date was to play mini-golf because Tyson honestly couldn’t think of anything worse than sitting across from each other over dinner or drinks and talking (I mean….who wants to sit opposite each other and talk on a first date-outrageous) But he suggested we get a drink afterwards – so I thought we must be going okay in his opinion if he was willing to sit opposite me and speak haha. We did however both almost bail on the first date because we both couldn’t be bothered. Lucky we didn’t!
When and where did you get engaged?
13th Beach in Barwon Heads. We spend a lot of time down at 13th beach and both love spending time together walking our dogs, so its the perfect place. Funnily, I was not expecting it at all that weekend. I did think he was being very strange but a proposal did not enter my head as the explanation. I had organized to see a friend for a walk and coffee on Saturday morning which he normally would not have cared about at all. But he seemed quite put out by it this weekend. He then kept asking me a million questions about when I would be home, what my plans were when I got home, would Lola be too tired to do another walk…..again, this was very odd for him haha. When I got home he was SO insistent that we leave to go for our beach walk right away. Mind you it was a windy July winters day and the last thing I wanted to do was go to the beach….but we went and he absolutely surprised me! The whole time leading up to it I was thinking ‘what is his problem’ haha I would have died if he had done a big scene engagement – so he nailed it! It was just the two of us and Lola (she was actually rolling in seaweed whilst he was proposing haha)
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Relaxed! We picked Austin’s for it’s laid back vibe and relaxed (but pretty) atmosphere. We have a mexican food truck doing the food – the most unwedding wedding food haha
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Seeing Tyson’s face for the first time when I am walking down the aisle. He has said a few times that seeing me walk down the aisle is going to be one of the most special parts of the day for him, so I am excited for that moment (I will probably end up bawling my eyes out haha)
Top Tips!
Its as stressful as you make it! We have also kept it absolutely to what we want, not everyone’s else expectations, and I think that is going to make the day extra fun and special for us and it is truly exactly what we wanted it to be!
