Tell me about your The Beginning!
We met a long time ago when I (Rhya) was 18 and Jay was 22 through mutual friends. We attended quite a few parties and functions together and never really spoke. I thought he was rude haha!
Four years later we got put together in a team at a games night and realised we actually got along really well. As much as we tried to avoid it, we fell in love and 6 months later we made it official.

When and where did you get engaged?
Friday 15th October 2021 🙂
He got home from work late, we had a dinner booking at Alma and so while he rushed around getting ready I stayed on the phone to my sister.
Little did I know he was waiting for me to hang up so he could get down on one knee! Before we went to dinner of course, I would have been mortified if he proposed in public haha.
We got to celebrate with an incredible dinner!

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
We’ve gone quite classic and simple with a lot of elements, although we aren’t very traditional so in other ways we’ve brought in some styles that break that up.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Rhya: After the ceremony, being able to have a moment just the two of us to take it all in before we celebrate with everyone!

Top Tips!
Avoid stressing, it’s really not worth it!
Keep a spreadsheet that includes your to do list and make the due dates WAY earlier than they need to be.
Make choices for yourselves only, you can’t please everyone and it’s your day.
Stay true to yourselves and don’t be afraid to break tradition.
Don’t want to do something that is ‘usually’ part of a wedding (e.g. cake, speeches) – don’t do it!!
