Tell me about your The Beginning!
Tim and I met on the dating app bumble. We had briefly heard about each other through a mutual friend and then happened to randomly match on the app. It took a few days of talking though to figure out who the other person was.
We talked all day every day for 3 weeks (bonding over the Simpsons mostly) before meeting in person. We spent the weekend together, and after that we were pretty much inseparable! I was living in Camperdown and he was in Melbourne, so we did long distance for 2 years before moving in together. But we spoke every day and each weekend one of us would make he drive to see the other. In fact, there hasn’t been one single day in the 4 years and 4 months that we’ve been together where we haven’t talked.

Tim never wanted to get married and he’s never wanted his own children, but here we are! Getting married, and he’s the most amazing step dad to my boys. I am quote, possibly the luckiest girl ever! Especially after what Tim’s been through. Before I met him he had a partner of ten years though in 2017 she sadly passed away and Tim’s world was shattered. The fact that he’s been able to get through it and then open up his heart again to let myself and my children in – it’s incredible.

When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged on Tim’s birthday on 2nd Jan 2022 on a beach in Lake Conjola where his family has a holiday house and he spent his summers and holidays there growing up. It took me (and everyone else) very much by surprise!

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Don’t have a particular theme, we want it to be a very relaxed and fun day! We just want everyone to have a good time. Tim and I both hate being centre of attention (why are we doing this??! haha) so we want to make it as casual as possible.
There will be no first dance 🙂

What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Having the boys walk me down the aisle, and seeing the look on Tim’s face as I walk toward him (probably a look of ‘oh God what am I doing?’) haha and then pretty much having all the formalities over so we an relax/party
