Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met in Feb of 2012, so yep that means we have been together for 12 years! Ha We both went to uni at the university of Ballarat (now Fed Uni) and we lived in the same unit on Res but didn’t cross paths until the week after o week. We starting talking one day in the unit kitchen, Jordan was watching the cricket and I was pretending to sound interested haha. We then met again a few nights later at the bluestone night club, shared a few sneaky dances and kisses. We kept talking and made it official a few weeks later, he’s been stuck with me ever since.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged on the 2/12/22 in the beautiful Busselton in WA. We were over in WA on holidays and had been down in Albany visiting friends and when driving back to Perth made a detour through Busselton. I remember Jordan being really quiet and weird the whole time, I got mad at him for being so quiet for once! He continued to act strange when I made him walk the nearly 2km long jetty, little did I know he had the ring in his pocket. He then suggested that we go for a walk on the beach before we kept driving, I honestly thought absolutely nothing of it and was not expecting him to propose at all. When he dropped to his knee, he pulled out his wallet and I thought he was joking and so I yelled at him that it wasn’t a funny joke, I promptly shut up when I saw the ring. I never thought I would be the girl that screamed, cried and jumped up and down but that’s exactly what I did haha. It was perfect, he nailed the surprise.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

We didn’t really have a specific theme but wanted a rustic vibe and kept it pretty simple with the beautiful style Rocklea naturally has. We just wanted a day that was fun and relaxing for everyone.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Jordan: Seeing Simone walking down the aisle to me. Simone: I cannot wait to marry my best friend and call him my husband. Being surrounded by all our amazing friends and family and celebrating with them all.
