Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking an epic drive down the Great Ocean Road for the wedding of Bonnie & Fletcher in the scenic town of Wye River.

Wye Beach Hotel was the location with great view, great food and best of all great friends and family to celebrate their wedding as well as being together for 10 years! Read on below for the list of wedding venors and a little bit about them and their vision for the day!

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met while living together at Deakin Uni Waurn Ponds, and have been inseparable ever since!

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged just before Christmas in 2022. Fletcher popped the question on one of our strolls through Eastern Park in Geelong, where we love to regularly take Logan the dog for a run around. He was so nervous, it was very sweet 🙂 The funny thing is that we’d already booked the wedding venue and had the date sorted before a ring was even purchased! We knew we had to get married in Wye River, and wanted it to be in Autumn 2024 to celebrate 10 years being together 🙂

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

The ceremony and reception will be loving and lighthearted, and we’ve chosen a cocktail style reception as we want a relaxed feel for the day & evening where all our friends and family can mingle and enjoy the venue. We love earthy tones, so wanted that to be incorporated in our wedding party colours, but the location of Wye River just speaks for itself – the coast is so beautiful and the backdrop of the Otway national park is stunning!

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

We look forward to officially declaring our love, celebrating our last ten years together and setting ourselves up for many more happy years to come, building our life and goals together 🙂 Bonnie: I can’t wait to see Fletcher’s face as I walk down the aisle towards him 🙂 Fletcher: I look forward to getting to marry Bonnie on what will be an amazing happy day. I’m excited to see her in her bridal dress!
